They work closely with a team of surgeons from their elite Medical Advisory Board to design our products so that they can understand the distinct needs of the surgeons.

mini Maxlock extreme

The Mini MaxLock Extreme® is a comprehensive small plate and screw system intended to stabilize and aid in the repair of fractures, fusions, and osteotomies for small bones and bone fragments. The low-profile plates will come in a variety of sizes to meet surgeon preference and patient anatomy.procedural needs.

Mini OrthoLink™ Plates
These small, resourceful plates offer a combination of locking, non-locking, and compression holes that can be used in various forefoot and hand applications.

T-plate/H-plate
These practical plates have locking and nonlocking capabilities, and can be used for a variety of applications including cuboid fractures, metatarsal osteotomies, TMT fusions, and more.

Mini Y-plate
These versatile plates can be used for a variety of procedures. One or two slots are available for compression in both Alpha and Beta versions. The offset ears allow for multiplanar fixation.

Mini Universal Plates
The unique design of these plates allows for multiplanar fixation. One or two slots are available for compression. The plates are Alpha/Beta hybrids and can be rotated 180° to change the location of the offset ears.

2.0/2.4mm Screws
The system contains three screw options: 2.0mm and 2.4mm non-locking, and 2.4mm fixed angle locking. The screws have a HexStar® drive that reduces the chance of stripping, a blunt tip that reduces tendon abrasion, and a hybrid screw thread design that maximizes purchase and bite.

Instrumentation
The system contains a variety of instrumentation that aids in the ease of use of the system. The instruments are ergonomically designed for comfort and to reduce surgeon fatigue. The unique design of the drill guides is color coded to coordinate with the drill bits and screws as well as to allow options while maintaining simplicity.

calclock canceal trauma system

The CalcLock Calcaneal Trauma System is a set of fixation plates, screws and instruments designed by a team of orthopedic surgeons, podiatrists and engineers. CalcLock was designed to maximize the stability in the area of the fracture that has the greatest inherent instability, namely the posterior facet fragment.

The CalcLock System has three distinct plate sizes, standard, large and x-large; for both the left and right foot. The plates are fully contoured to fit anatomically with the lateral surface of the calcaneus as well as offer multi planar screw fixation with increased pull-out strength. The CalcLock plate has a combination of non-locking holes, a translation slot and strategically placed locking holes.

The CalcLock System includes a variety of screws. There are four different screws in the CalcLock System: 4.0mm diameter partially threaded non-locking screws - intended to capture the sustentaculum, 3.5mm diameter fully threaded non-locking screw, 4.0mm fully threaded non-locking screws and 3.5mm diameter fully threaded locking screws - for the fixed angle holes.

Tribrid Technology

OrthoHelix's unique plates contain Tribrid™ Technology. The plates can accommodate non-locking, fixed angle locking and variable angle locking screws.

3.5mm Variable Angle Locking Screw
The PEEK Ring, made from PEEK-OPTIMA® polymer, can be inserted into the locking holes of all MaxLock Extreme® plates. The PEEK Ring comes preassembled with a disposable driver. When the 3.5 mm variable locking screw is inserted, it interfaces with the PEEK Ring to create a locked construct. The construct can allow for up to 30° of conical freedom while providing rigid fixation. The custom drill guide aids in angle selection.

3.5mm Fixed Angle Locking Screws

The locking 3.5mm screw, when interfaced with the plate, creates a locked construct at an angle that is typical to most fixation patterns.

maxtorque cannulated screw system

The MaxTorque's unique thread design offers better bone purchase and significantly increases pull out strength over other cannulated screws.

The MaxTorque Cannulated Screw System is a series of implantable bone fixation screws. Its intended use is to stabilize and aid in the fixation of fractures, fusions and osteotomies involving both long and small bones. The system includes 4.0mm, 5.5mm and 7.0mm screws of various lengths with corresponding washers. The screws are self-tapping and available in both blunt tip to reduce tendon irritation and selfdrilling for ease of insertion. The system is also color coded for easy instrument selection. The screws have been specifically designed to maximize the thread depth to improve overall compression and pull-out strength.

Recent testing showed that the MaxTorque 7.0mm screw averages 46% and 57% better pull-out strength than two well known market leading cannulated screws.

The MaxTorque System includes short and long thread screws in the following diameters and screw lengths:

• 4.0mm (14mm – 50mm)
• 5.5mm (26mm – 70mm)
• 7.0mm (40mm – 130mm)

mini maxtorque cannulated screw system

The Mini MaxTorque® is a modular system that can be customized to fit your small bone needs. Our current configuration options include:

• 2.5mm ZP® Screws
• 3.2mm ZP® Screws
• 3.8mm ZP® Screws
4.0mm MaxTorque® Screws

The ZP® (Zero Profile) screws have cutting flutes just under the head of the screw to allow for a low profile screw head to reduce the chance of tendon irritation. The screws are self-tapping/self-drilling and have reverse cutting flutes for easy removal.

2.7mm, 3.5mm, 4.0mm Non-locking Screws
Three non-locking screw options are provided in the system to accommodate a variety of preferences and patient types. All the screws provided in the MaxLock Extreme® are hybrid screws to increase purchase and enhance pullout strength.

Surgeons base their screw choice on patient needs and bone quality. The MaxLock Extreme® plates allow for three screw options (non-locking, fixed angle locking and variable angle locking) which can be used in any of the threaded holes of the plate. If a surgeon inserts a PEEK Ring with a variable angle screw, and then decides to remove it due to the patient’s needs, the plate is still useable and will not be damaged due to the removal. Note that the PEEK Ring is no longer usable after removal.
